Dmytro Grek Project - Storm

Storm is an allegorical sculpture that explores a society undergoing trial by the circumstances it cannot escape, as cruel as the elements. The struggle only unites people into a cohesive collective that transcends all social ties, be they friendly, familial, work- or trade-related.

Human silhouettes in a boat rise above the water into the sky. Each one stands at full height side by side with their comrades in a freely chosen union, furious in their unbreakable resistance, unwavering determination and invincible spiritual strength. This is what allows the community to float above the elements, relentlessly overcoming every challenge.
